Acquire / GEO
When people ask ChatGPT,
not Google.
More and more search now happens inside AI tools — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude. There are no ten blue links there. There’s one answer. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the work of being that answer.
/ What’s included
Four things that actually move citations.
GEO isn’t SEO with an AI coat of paint. Models cite differently than Google ranks — structure, clarity and credibility matter more than keywords.
/ How it’s built
Audit first, then structure, then measurement.
No guessing — we first see where AI tools already mention you (and where they don’t), then fix exactly that.
/ Measurement
What we actually track.
GEO without measurement is guessing. These are the KPIs we set up at the start, not once you ask.
/ Straight answers
Before you ask.
Does GEO replace SEO?
No, it complements it. Google still drives most traffic. GEO covers the fast-growing slice classic SEO doesn’t measure — visibility inside AI answers.
How do you even measure that an AI mentions you?
A mix of manual and tool-based testing of key queries over time, plus tracking AI-tool referral traffic in analytics. Not perfect, but measurable and repeatable.
How long until something moves?
Faster than classic SEO for structural fixes (weeks, not months), since models refresh sources more often — but no guarantees, since it’s someone else’s platform, not your own channel.
Do I need this if we’re a small local business?
Depends where your customers ask. If they’re already using ChatGPT for recommendations in your category, yes. If not, we’d start with SEO and ads instead.
